This most recent body of work is still extremely early in it’s development. I am fascinated by the relationship between photography and other means of creating visual artefacts. Most recently this has resulted in a series of small oil paintings, based upon photographs. A further aspect of my practise that has been of interest is my seeming want to control, I have therefore been exploring methods that limit the control I have over the outcome. For example using a toy camera to take pictures and using media that I am unfamiliar with, most recently oil paint.
